Battleme

In the Fall of 2009, former Lions singer Matt Drenik started his solo creative outlet Battleme by accident. After having drinks with a music supervisor at Fox, Drenik talked about writing a country song. Weeks later FX’s Sons of Anarchy came calling. Drenik quickly penned what he called “Burn This Town” in a few short hours and called the head engineer at Austin, TX studio The Bubble to do a quick live session. That four hour session has landed Drenik other network appearances, charting on iTunes, opening solo slots for national acts, and local NPR radio attention at KUT. By the time 2010 rolled around, Drenik was beginning to find a voice for the project. But shortly after he began having some health problems and headed up to Portland, OR to write a full length record as a way to deal with the stress. Striving for purity, he holed up in a basement and wrote dozens of songs. By Summer’s end, he had a record. The demos were sent to Thomas Turner of Ghostland Observatory who in turn signed Drenik to his Trashy Moped Recordings. The two worked furiously over the next six months; collaborating on Drenik’s songs, with the two of them playing all the instruments. Drenik and Turner put the finishing touches on the record in the Fall of 2011. The self-titled full-length debut is due to be released in the beginning of 2012.

Robert Roth

ROBERT ROTH'S solo debut on Pattern 25 Records continues to expand upon the sonic frontiers he previously claimed as the singer-guitarist-composer-producer of Seattle's widely acclaimed TRULY (Sub Pop, Capitol).

The album, "Someone, Somewhere...", is a richly satisfying and uncompromising statement of artistic dedication. His soulfoul drawl and soaring melodies weave together washes of haunted guitars, mellotron-soaked soundscapes, and warped orchestral passages into an ageless epic.

In addition to his work with TRULY, Robert contributed Mellotron to BUILT TO SPILL "Perfect From Now On", & co-wrote songs with author/musician JIM CARROLL for Mercury Records "Pools of Mercury" and Kill Rock Stars "Runaway EP". He also played beside Carroll in a string of live dates between '98 and 2000, including 2 sold out shows at the Crocodile Cafe' and culminating in a sold out performance in front for 1500 at the the Seattle Opera House in 2000.

Eugene Wendell and The Demon Rind

"my new thang," roots-bastards Eugene Wendell & The Demon Rind. Singer/songwriter and long-time music business veteran Ian Moore recorded and co-wrote the Seattle band's nine song demo currently getting passed around by rock and rye, in the ditch, gut-bucket fucked up folk-rock fans. Mixed and mastered by Kurt Bloch, band focal point Kwab Copeland writes raw, rustic verse set to rollicking badland bomp. Songs like "Those Fuckers" and "Mark" have The Demon Rind hanging America upside down in a cabin at the edge of the woods, nicking its arteries with squeals of mellotron and harmonium and hammond B3, bleeding it out red, white, and blue. Look forward to the eventual release of the debut Meet Me In The Garden & We'll See What Happens, but come out and see them - Chris Estey threeimaginarygirls.com
